Review: Red Rose Mediation
I attended this mediation with a hope that parties could be kept in check by the mediator, as I was promised. Sadly there was a fine line between, open communication and direct verbal abuse, which was allowed to continue under the auspice of, discussion. I also found, in my situation, which involves young children that the mediator's sole outcome was that neither party 'got their way' rather than the focus being on what is in the childrens' best interests. As a result I don't believe mediation in all circumstances and with this particularly mediator (Blackpool) was effective or productive, it was rather emotionally counterproductive to a vulnerable parent, whom was keen to achieve a better relationship for their kids. It sadly gave yet another platform, to the co-parent to continue their behaviour.
